Maximilian De Anda and Ramiro Piza scored goals while goalkeeper Arturo Bustamante posted Rio Hondo College's seventh shutout of the season in a 2-0 South Coast Conference victory at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park on Thursday.
At 5-1-2, the No. 12 state-ranked Roadrunners stay just ahead of second-place Mt. San Antonio College at 5-1-1 in the SCC North Division standings. Rio Hondo hosts No. 2 Mt. SAC on Tuesday in both teams' regular-season finale. That game is set for a 2 p.m. start.
